“Are you too busy for improvement? Frequently, I am rebuffed by people who say they are too busy and have no time for such activities. I make it a point to respond by telling people, 'Look, you’ll stop being busy either when you die or when the company goes bankrupt.' ”

Shigeo Shingo, author of the Toyota Production System

The purpose of this NY State LCI Event is to enlighten and encourage the Lean Leaders throughout our industry to “Think Lean” and “Do Lean” to help their companies deliver greater value to their customers. To successfully implement and maintain Lean in companies, it requires Lean Leaders! Everyone is a leader. All of us lead at least one person – ourselves. Many of us, naturally or by designation, lead other people. The session will present six key concepts for Lean Leaders to help them “Do Lean”.

Take Aways:

  • Knowing Why and What - key to success
  • Don’t do Lean to Workers
  • Lean Basics before Technology
  • The importance of GO & SEE
  • Managing to Lean Priorities
  • No Problem is Problem
