Join the New Orleans Community of Practice for a discussion about “Takt Time” led by Hal Macomber and the Touchplan team.  Hal is a pioneer in Lean consulting for the design and construction industry.  Touchplan offers a powerful web-based platform to help facilitate the Last Planner System.  Takt Time is increasingly leveraged by project teams looking for the next opportunity in their Lean journey.

Takt Time: Making the Most of Your Last Planner System Projects

One of the things people don’t grasp when they learn about lean in construction is we approach construction as a project-based production system. Production systems can be designed, or they can just be “evolved”. For the most part in our industry, we take on production (we call that “construction”) as a scheduling exercise — as opposed to a production system design exercise. This presentation will introduce the science of production systems and the significant opportunities available on projects.

No previous Lean experience required.  Join other architects, designers, engineers, contractors, trade partners, owners and associated professionals, all seeking a better way to build.

This event is co-sponsored by the LCI New Orleans Community of Practice, AIA New Orleans, & Touchplan.

Coffee and pastries will be provided.
