As our industry emerges from lockdown and opens up, it’s time to assess the lessons we have all learned and improve our processes. In the area of Lean project planning and collaboration, new technologies and practices have emerged over the last few years to accommodate the Covid-19 crisis. Have we learned a new and better way, or do we need a return to the basics? Please join us for a panel discussion of the current best practices for collaborative planning that focuses on the mechanics of creating a reliable production plan. 


  • Larry Summerfield, SE, Buehler Engineering - Larry Summerfield is a Project Manager and Structural   Engineer for Buehler Engineering. He has 34 years’ experience designing all manner of structures and is an avid Lean practitioner. His goal is to help change the design and construction industry to be less fragmented and more integrated and collaborative.
  • Justin Wise, AIA,  Stantec ArchitectureJustin is an architecture and design professional with 17 years of experience integrating the planning, design, and management of the built environment. Justin’s notable projects include multi-million dollar hospital and clinic designs, as well as work in the commercial and hospitality sector. Justin is passionate about lean and integrated project delivery and actively manages several ongoing IPD/IFOA projects in California.
  • Jason Martin, DBIA, Clark Construction Group CA - Jason Martin is a Vice President for Clark Construction, leading Clark's Sacramento region. He has 16 years of experience in the industry, including over $3B of construction projects with Sutter Health, Kaiser Permanente, UC Davis, Shriners Hospitals for Children and with the State of California.
  • Matthew Boersma, The Boldt Company - Matthew is a Senior Project Manager for The Boldt Company. In his 14 years there, he has led Lean project teams on over $2 billion of construction throughout Northern California. He has a passion for continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Matthew Jogan, vPlanner - Matthew Jogan is a project   director for vPlanner. Matthew provides production planning services, takt planning services, coaching, and facilitation services to teams around the globe.
