GEMBA Walk: Seeing is Believing - 5S Implementation at the St. Louis Mercy Ballas Project (St. Louis CoP)

Join us on this unique GEMBA tour of The Mercy Ballas Project.  Located in St Louis, MO, this project consists of a high tech, 5-level, 272,000 ft² multispecialty facility that will provide a single point of care for multiple healthcare services, including bariatrics, neurosurgery, orthopedics/sports medicine, reconstructive surgery, and urology.  This project is currently implementing Alberici’s Lean Edge program, and this GEMBA walk will focus on its 5S practices across the site.

Speakers:

• Peter Nuernberger is a Sr. Project Manager at Alberici Constructors. Peter has 16 years of experience in the Building and Healthcare market and the Water market, including 5 years of experience with construction Lean practices.  Peter graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in Architectural Engineering.
• Brian Crawford is the Corporate Lean Director at Alberici   Constructors. Brian has more than 28 years of operations experience running large construction projects in the Buildings and Healthcare market. Brian is an active member of LCI and a member of the LCI St. Louis Community of Practice.
