In Fall 2020, Constellation Brands Inc. (the maker of Corona beer) and Gilbane-Alberici Mexico decided to implement Lean construction on an expansion project located at its largest brewery in Nava, Coahuila, Mexico. The team had to overcome the challenges of rolling out Lean at the peak of the COVID pandemic in a fully bilingual setting (Spanish and English), and with a project team that had never implemented Lean before. In the process, they learned how to level imbalances in Lean learning among all stakeholders.
