Children's Hospital of Wisconsin has kicked off a multi-year facilities improvement project, the Milwaukee Campus Improvement Project (MCIP), that will support their vision of having Wisconsin children be the healthiest in the nation.

The transformational project is designed to enhance clinical collaboration and efficiencies, improve the child and family experience and support the use of new technologies. It includes:

  • A six-story, 237,000-square-foot addition to house specialty clinics and Surgical Services
  • Renovation and expansion of Surgical Services
  • Renovation and expansion of the Emergency Department and Level 1 Trauma Center
  • New Generator Plant

Using Integrated Project Delivery (IPD), Children's Hospital partnered with the Boldt Company and Cannon Design.

The intent of this event is to communicate the differences between IPD and other project delivery methods. Topics that will be discussed include:

      1. The Contract - Integrated Form of Agreement
          (Matt Wade, Children's Hospital of WI; Nick Loughrin, Boldt)
      2. Using the Last Planner System
          (Mike Yeutter, Boldt; Erik Gliniecki, Faith Technologies)
      3. Target Value Design and the Big Room
           (Graham Ryan, Boldt; Tim O'Rorke, R&I; Greg Schmidt, MPC)
      4. Integrated Modeling & Prefabrication
           (Scott Lauwausser, Boldt; Darin Marsden, Faith Technologies;
           Eric Doremirek, Faith Technologies)

Come see what our challenges and successes have been so far!
