Developed by the Lean Construction (LCI) Institute over 20 years ago, the Parade of Trades® is a key foundational experience for anyone interested in implementing Lean within a project setting. The simulation illustrates the impact of local variability on global throughput. Attendees will virtually represent one of seven trade partners involved in a parade of trades within a construction team. Teams will roll dice that represent the capacity they bring to site to complete their work scope within a given week. However, a team member's ability to complete their work will depend on, and thus be limited by, the handoffs of work completed by their preceding trade partner. This fun virtual workshop will include a group debrief of key takeaways for enabling and sustaining good flow within our projects.
