  • Understand the importance of a fully integrated team and discuss the roles of: the owner, design team, BIM, contractor and sub-contractors to achieve industrialized construction outcomes
  •  Discuss design considerations for modular construction, and key details to achieve industrialized construction

Speakers:

  • Karen McKenzie has 33 years of experience in the construction industry. Over the last 20-plus years at Advocate Aurora Health she has held multiple positions within its Planning, Design & Construction team, most recently serving as Director.
  • Scot Lauwasser brings an extensive knowledge base on BIM and Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) to the team. His industry leading talents impact all aspects of a project – from validation and preconstruction, to constructability and MEP coordination, to estimating and scheduling, to construction productivity and built-in quality.
  • Jenny Han supports the Design for Fabrication process at Boldt. She has a particular interest in innovating and disrupting the design and construction industry through modular delivery to solve for inequitable healthcare delivery, improve processes and make meaningful, positive social change.
  • As a DIRTT Healthcare Specialist at Lerdahl, Christine Robotka is able to share her passion for functional, performance driven and beautifully designed spaces with clients in the most sustainable way possible. She meets with End Users, Architects, Designers, Developers and General Contractors to further the DIRTT story and build a partnership network that collaboratively builds more flexible solutions for healthcare environments.
  • Alan VanMun is the Director of Project Construction and Healthcare Market Lead at Tweet/Garot Mechanical, Inc., a mechanical contracting firm serving customers throughout the United States, headquartered in the Green Bay, Wisconsin area.
  • Kyle Weisman is a Project Manager and Associate Vice President in Healthcare at HGA Architects and Engineers.
