Henry Nutt III, Southland Industries - As Sheet Metal General Superintendent for Southland's Northern California Division, Henry is responsible for managing shop and field staff, assisting with project scheduling, personnel assignments and training, managing tools and equipment and project safety, as well as interfacing with the unions. He is directly involved with Southland's Lean construction delivery method and was the 2018 recipient of LCI 's Pioneer Award
Ron Heise, Southland Industries - Ron is a General Foreman at Southland Industries and he started his career in 1985. He has worked on biopharmaceutical, commercial and advanced technology (data centers). Most of the past 33 years have been on healthcare and OSHPD projects. Ron's responsibilities include project leadership and oversight for sheet metal funcitons including project coordination, scheduling, training, sequencing, manpower staffing, shop prefabrication, on-time delivery, and interfacing with unions.
Gavin Lauer, Whiting-Turner Contracting Company - Gavin is a Lead Superintendent with 19 years in the construction industry. Projects include healthcare, science and technology, class A building remodels and retail. Gavin started in construction management directly after graduating from university in 2001. Currently a lead superintendent oon a mega project, Gavin uses Lean principles to foster positive attitude and a "one project" culture within the entire team.
Eric Thatcher, Whiting-Turner Contracting Company - Eric is a Senior Superintendent with 33 years in the construction industry, and over $3B in projects as a lead superintendent. His projects include healthcare, hospitality, multi-family and office high rise, power generation, and science and technology buildings. Eric began his career in 1986, completing the carpenter's apprenticeship program in Northern California. He began large projects in 1999, and mega projects in 2008, passionately implementing LPS™ and Lean concepts since 2016.
