LCI New England CoP

Join us for the 9th joint learning event between the Lean Construction Institute’s New England Community of Practice and Wentworth Institute of Technology’s (WIT) graduate students in the Modern Construction Delivery Methods (MCDM) class! Since 2012, these events have provided opportunities for practitioners to join WIT students in hands-on learning and exploring the challenges of improving industry practice. This will be our first time holding the event virtually, and we hope you will join us to build learning from our collective experiences working in this unprecedented time. – Cynthia Tsao and Luciana Burdi (2020 WIT MCDM instructors)

Working in the World of COVID-19 – Challenges, Innovations, & Lessons Learned

What are we doing to work in a safe, healthy, and effective manner? Join us to explore the challenges of working virtually and on-site in the midst of the pandemic. What innovations are companies and project teams developing and implementing to improve the quality of our virtual working conditions? Which virtual technologies are most effective for:

  • Project team alignment, communication, and understanding?
  • Enhancing collaboration?
  • Tracking milestone progress?
  • Job-site walkthroughs?

The goal of this event is to identify the best practices for working in the world of COVID-19. In particular, we invite you to bring to the meeting:

  • Screen shots of virtual technologies that you have been using to address the above bullets
  • Screening questions that you have been asked when entering office spaces and job sites

so we can compare and learn from each other’s experiences. A compilation of the ideas generated in this meeting will be shared with all attendees.

  • 6:10 Introduction of facilitators, speakers, and WIT students
