Register for the April 28-29 Design Forum!

“I attend LCI’s Lean in Design Forum because our industry is changing—and we need a mind‑shift from handoffs and heroics to alignment and flow. It’s where we align expectations early—building clarity upstream and confidence downstream—while sharpening real Lean practices like Target Value Delivery, set‑based design, and Last Planner System® in Design. Most importantly, I leave with a shared language and behaviors that strengthen respect, reliable commitments, and teamwork across owners, designers, builders, and trade partners throughout the built environment.”

Six Sessions, One Big Finish: Revisit the Lean Marketplace, Day Three
Catch What You Missed: The Lean Marketplace, September 9
The final day of The 2025 Lean Marketplace was the biggest yet, with six sessions spanning leadership, modular construction, digital planning, and AI-powered field tracking.

Construction Accelerator opened with a look at how Team Alignment Partnering and AI-supported leadership coaching help project teams eliminate silos and build a stronger coaching culture. Qwikinstall showcased their FDH Kit Module — a single-package frame, door, and hardware solution installed in ten minutes by one carpenter — a Lean innovation that challenges how you think about sequencing. Nialli brought digital Last Planner System® planning to life, showing how their visual planning software mirrors the simplicity of sticky notes while capturing meaningful metrics for project leaders. Planera introduced their Lean CPM platform, where pull planning, PPC tracking, and CPM logic work together in one environment. Hoylu demonstrated how unified whiteboarding and planning tools bridge the gap between schedule and what’s actually happening in the field. Versatile closed the day with a look at how AI-powered crane hook tracking delivers real-time insight into material flow — keeping crews synchronized and reducing idle time.
Every session is available now. Visit the 2025 Lean Marketplace page to watch them all.
The 2026 Lean Marketplace is on its way — with four days of sessions scheduled for June 10, June 17, November 13, and November 20. Stay tuned for more details!

The Missing Link Between Planning and Predictable Delivery
“As more project teams adopt takt planning, it’s critical to understand the foundational production concepts that make it work. Lead time, cycle time, and takt time are key concepts that when used correctly help achieve flow and eliminate stops and starts and bottlenecks in our production.” — Samir Emdanat, President of vPlanner and David MacKay, Lean Planner & Consultant of Milestone Lean Consulting
