The Right Practice at the Right Time, A Lean Project Delivery Roadmap.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Map the phases of a Lean Project Delivery lifecycle from project setup through closeout.
  • Identify which Lean practices fit each phase and each level of team maturity, from foundational to advanced.
  • Recognize the signs that a team is ready to adopt more advanced Lean practices.
  • Apply a practical framework for introducing or scaling Lean practices on their own projects.

Instructors:

Tammy McConaughycurrently serves as the Director, Education & Certification at LCI, bringing 17+ years and a wealth of experience in Lean methodologies to the position. She has achieved a Six Sigma Black Belt and been actively involved in the construction industry since 2003.

Over the course of her career, Tammy has been pivotal in introducing various Lean techniques including Target Value Delivery, Integrated Project Delivery, and the Last Planner System® to her project teams. She is dedicated to grounding these techniques in Lean principles and cultivating a Lean culture within various organizations.


Amanda Patton, DBIA, LEED AP BD+C, is a Preconstruction Director at Balfour Beatty. With 24 years of experience in the construction industry, Amanda has spent the past 18 years focused on leading teams on alternative delivery projects. She’s worked alongside designers, owners, and builders in collaborative settings on healthcare, higher education, and federal projects of various sizes. This included six and a half years on the Integrated Project Team delivering the 1.5 million square foot new patient pavilion for Penn Medicine in Philadelphia. As a former Community of Practice co-founder and leader, she is actively involved in Lean Construction Institute. She is a collaborative building partner who is committed to the continuous improvement of her projects, teams and the industry-at-large.
