Your Peers May Already Know What You're Trying to Figure Out
You don’t have to solve Lean challenges alone. Some of the best answers you’ll find come from someone who’s already been where you are and LCI’s Lean Coffee series exists to put you in the room with them.

Lean Practitioners Lean Coffee — Friday, August 14, 12:00–1:00 PM EDT
If you’re actively implementing Lean on projects or coaching others in it, this one’s built for you. It’s a members-only virtual gathering, limited to practitioners ready for advanced-level conversation. You’ll submit a topic when you register, then vote on the full list two days out — so when the session starts, you’re diving straight into what matters most to the group.
Owners’ Lean Coffee — Friday, September 4. 12:00 – 1:00 PM EDT
Owner-side challenges deserve owner-side conversation. This virtual session is exclusively for employees of LCI Owner member companies, giving you a space to trade real solutions with people who share your seat at the table. You’ll submit and vote on topics ahead of time too, so the hour goes further.
Both formats are simple: no long presentations, no passive listening. Just focused, peer-driven conversation on the topics you actually vote to discuss.
Spots are open now. Secure yours before the room fills. Reach out to Maryann with any questions or if you need assistance registering.
Virtual CoP Event: Hear from Jeff Shaw of Chick-fil-A and LCI Board Member

Construction is about more than concrete, steel, schedules, and budgets.
It’s about the people whose lives are changed when a project is delivered—the operator opening their doors, the team member starting a new career, and the community that will benefit for years to come.
Respect for People is one of Lean Construction’s core principles, but it’s often misunderstood. It’s more than a value on a poster—it’s the foundation for every decision, every partnership, and every commitment made throughout a project.
In this session, you’ll learn:
✅ A practical framework for applying Respect for People in everyday leadership
✅ The tools Chick-fil-A uses to align teams, measure progress, and drive accountability
✅ Lessons from overcoming adversity through disciplined planning and team empowerment
✅ Actionable takeaways you can apply immediately—regardless of your role
Whether you’re an Owner, General Contractor, Trade Partner, or Designer, this session will challenge you to think differently about leadership and show how Lean delivers value by putting people first.
Featured Speaker: Jeff Shaw, Chick-fil-A
Jeff is a construction and development leader specializing in Lean Construction, operational excellence, and restaurant development. As a member of the Board of Directors for the Lean Construction Institute, he is passionate about developing people, building high-performing teams, and creating lasting value through Respect for People and continuous improvement.
Join us and discover how leading with Respect for People can transform projects—and the people behind them.
WEBINAR TODAY: Two Lean Coaches Analyze LPS® Successes/Failures
What separates a successful Last Planner System® implementation from one that falls flat? Sometimes, the biggest lessons come from the implementations that did not go according to plan.
Join Lean coaches Dan Fauchier and Andy Fulton on August 6 as they share insights from a combined 19 years of experience facilitating more than 400 LPS® sessions across 90+ projects.
Attendees will learn from real successes and failures while exploring practical strategies for facilitation, trade partner buy-in, milestones, phase pulls, weekly work plans, software, virtual planning, and more.
