Successful Target Value Processes: Insights from 3 Projects:

This session presents a research based Target Value System (TVD) that brings structure, consistency, and reliability to Target Value implementation across IPD and non IPD projects. Drawing from three ongoing case studies, attendees will understand how target value maturity directly shaped outcomes—from cost performance, schedule reliability, sustainability gains, and team interactions. Participants will leave with practical, evidence backed steps, a maturity assessment tool, and clear strategies for improving target value practices including value definition, decision flow, team alignment, and learning, to deliver more predictable, higher value project results from early design into construction execution.

Building Stronger Minds in 2026: Advancing Mental Health:  Mental wellbeing in the trades is a growing, urgent reality—impacting safety, performance, retention, and lives. This session brings together GC, trade partner, and safety leaders to discuss the current state of mental wellness, what companies are doing right now to support workers, and practical outreach efforts that work under real jobsite pressure.

Through true field stories and hard-earned lessons, attendees will gain adaptable strategies to engage early, reduce stigma, support recovery with accountability, and build a culture where people feel safe to speak up before crisis hits.

Why Respect for People Is Lean's Most Neglected Principle:  Respect for People is one of lean's foundational tenets — and the one most consistently overlooked. After three years leading the LCI Respect for People discussion, Brittanie Campbell-Turner and Henry Nutt share what they have learned about why RfP gets deprioritized, what it actually looks like in practice on construction projects, and what owners and trade partners can do to make it real. This is not a feel-good talk. It is an honest look at the behaviors that build trust, the habits that erode it, and practical ways to embed RfP into the lean practices teams already use. Expect concrete examples, uncomfortable truths, and tools you can apply on Monday.
