2021 Virtual Design Forum – what to expect as an attendee!

While our world is taking steps to put the COVID-19 pandemic behind us – the staff at LCI made the decision to host this year’s Design Forum virtually based on guidance from the CDC. We do plan however to be in-person for the 2021 LCI Congress this October 19-22, 2021!
Last year’s virtual Design Forum was innovative and collaborative and this year will be no exception! Together, we will be spending two days virtually, May 19-20, exploring how Lean innovations have supported the design industry in the COVID environment. Presentations will address diverse mindset and cultural implications. Additionally we will build upon what Lean design and construction experts discussed in 2020 and discover ways to accelerate and move forward together!
The Design Forum virtual platform is incredibly easy to navigate! Once registered you will receive a confirmation email from LCI. Closer to the event date an email will come from the virtual event provider, Matchbox Virtual Media, with instructions on how to access the platform. Once inside you will find that our team has worked in alongside Matchbox to make the virtual attendee experience absolutely seamless. Be sure to update your platform profile, in the top right hand corner, to improve your virtual networking experience!
While Design Forum sessions are tailored to those in the design community, the attendee demographic is diverse and is also comprised of owners, general contractors and trade partners. Any person within the design and construction industry who is interested in utilizing Lean approaches and methods will benefit from attending the Design Forum!
