Jeremy Atkinson Leverages LCI-CPC For Personal and Business Boosts
Jeremy Atkinson, process improvement and project manager at Landis Construction is the latest LCI-CPC. With the completion of the LCI-CPC certification, Jeremy believes the certification gives practitioners like him a competitive edge with owners and project managers as proof of Lean experience. He says, “this certification verifies my Lean experience and knowledge giving confidence to owners and Trade partners that I have REAL Lean experience and not the ‘fake Lean’ that we see in the industry. I’ve just been put on a project specifically because I have this certification.”
Jeremy prepared for the LCI-CPC by compiling a folder of old artifacts and looking back at his Lean journey. As a tip for other practitioners planning to pursue the LCI-CPC certification he suggests, “creating a folder and dumping everything you have done in there, because it will come in handy when you go through the certification.”
Beyond the business-boosting advantages he’s already experienced, completing the LCI-CPC certification has also helped him become more confident and gain pride in his knowledge of Lean. “As I compiled the artifacts and materials for the portfolio and reviewed for the exam I realized, hey, I don’t just know this stuff, I actually do this stuff. Looking back on seven years of proof that shows I know Lean was a pretty cool feeling.”
