Member Connections: Important Update for Members!
Attention LCI corporate members: We have exciting news to share. LCI’s online Member Directory, the second most visited page on the LCI website, is about to become an even more valuable resource for your company. As members have told us, LCI membership is a demonstration of the company’s commitment to Lean. To that end, LCI’s Member Directory will be improved to allow your company to more fully showcase your organization’s capabilities and to facilitate collaboration.
To ensure your company’s information is complete and accurate, please provide the name, title, email address, and, if possible, the phone number of your company’s marketing contact. We’ll reach out to your designated contact in the coming weeks to gather the details needed for the improved directory.
Your response is requested by Friday, November 15. This will ensure your company is included in the directory’s launch and is represented accurately.
Thank you for your assistance in helping make the member directory an even more valuable tool for you and the entire LCI community. You can reply to Maryann with the requested information here.
Take the Next Step: What to Know About LCI’s Knowledge Assessment
The Knowledge Assessment is a pivotal part of LCI’s certification process, allowing candidates to demonstrate their expertise across three essential domains: Lean Principles, People-Related Skills, and Practices. This multiple-choice exam challenges applicants to show their knowledge of Lean concepts and practical applications in both design (LCI-CPD) and construction (LCI-CPC). As the second step in the process after completing the application, the Knowledge Assessment is an important milestone on the path to certification.
Curious to see where you stand? Take our Knowledge Assessment Practice Quiz to test your knowledge. For additional information, visit our FAQ page, where you can download the certification handbooks and access the full exam outline.

Using Takt to Develop Project Execution Strategies
Introduction to Process Mapping
In Lean design and construction, one of the key objectives is achieving standardization—ensuring that everyone follows the same process for consistency and reliability. But before you can standardize, you need to understand the process. That’s where process mapping comes in.
Process mapping is a powerful tool that visually outlines a process, making it easy to communicate complex workflows across teams. By creating a clear, shared understanding of the process, you set the foundation for improvements that can be implemented universally, driving efficiency and reducing errors.

Join Groundbreaking Research on AI in Construction Cost Estimation
The research team at California State University-Fresno is conducting an exciting study on the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in construction cost estimation, and they need your input!
They’re seeking insights on the current applications, challenges, and potential of AI to enhance cost estimation processes in the construction industry. Your participation in a brief 15-20 minute survey (20 multiple-choice questions) will help identify key resources, training, and strategies needed for the ethical and effective adoption of AI in this field.
Your feedback will help shape ways in which AI can be leveraged to improve efficiency, accuracy, and risk management in construction cost estimation.
