New England CoP Hosts Event with LCI Co-Founder, Glenn Ballard, PhD

On August 20, the LCI New England CoP hosted The Origins and Future of Lean Construction. This event provided valuable insights, hands-on learning workshops, and networking opportunities.

Attendees heard from Glenn Ballard, PhD, co-founder of LCI, who opened the event highlighting his journey with the Last Planner System®, before transitioning into a collaborative workshop facilitated by Colin Milberg, ASKM & Associates, and George Hunt, IPS, illustrating those principles.

Cade Keys, Superintendent, and Josh DiGloria, Project Executive, DPR, shared practical project takeaways, and provided participants with the open forum to ask questions and dig deeper into the details. They showed how they had used the Last Planner System® and other Lean methods, including their results – warts and all!

The evening was rounded out with networking, dinner, and a unique performance by a local nonprofit Peruvian dance group. The group enjoyed the opportunity to socialize with other New England professionals interested in Lean!
