Nothing Hits the Floor: Lean for Safety and Efficiency (Greater Des Moines CoP)

Oklahoma Community of Practice

Lean is generally thought of in relation to scheduling or productivity, but it doesn’t have to stop there. Lean principles can also contribute directly to a safe jobsite. In 2016, Weitz piloted the “Nothing Hits the Floor” program on two jobsites before taking it company-wide, and have continued to refine it since. This presentation will cover lessons learned and best practices for a safe and efficient jobsite through Nothing Hits the Floor.

This meeting will be held at the newly renovated Weitz offices which were toured during construction as part of the July 2021 Lean CoP presentation.
