Join Your Community at the LCI Lean in Design Forum!
May 1-2, 2024, Chicago, IL

Designers, architects, engineers, and anyone involved in construction design are invited to attend the 2024 LCI Lean in Design Forum this spring. We’ll come together for a valuable exploration of how design benefits from Lean thinking and practices. This unique event will illustrate the potential of integrating Lean methods into designers’ workflows. Join us to discover the benefits that Lean approaches can bring to designers.

Leaning into Design Thinking

This year’s Design Forum theme focuses on the marriage of Lean and Design Thinking. Our LCI community will discuss the advantages of integrating Lean into Design Thinking — a nonlinear, iterative process that promotes understanding of true human needs, challenges assumptions, and redefines problems to help create innovative solutions, prototyping, and testing. We’ll also emphasize the importance of the Lean tenet Respect for People in effective Design Thinking. Lean and Design Thinking creates a mindset aided by but not based in tools. Attendees will gain ideas and tools to accomplish more with fewer resources, drive added value, and better serve humanity through intentional design. Engage in transformative presentations to discover new potential for Lean.
