Give Back This Holiday Season: Volunteer With Your Lean Community!

Did you know? The 27 LCI Communities of Practice (CoPs) across the country are entirely volunteer-led!

This time of year, CoP core groups are busy with their annual planning for 2025. They’re coordinating not just events, but also locations, sponsorships, and other needs.

There are many ways you can help support their efforts. If you’re interested in connecting with your local CoP leadership to explore how you can contribute, reach out to Denise Erminger, Manager of Communities of Practice Relations, for an introduction.

Curated Content: Generating Value

In the design and construction industry, waste is a constant hurdle that impacts project timelines, budgets, and overall customer satisfaction. By reducing waste, we unlock more value—an essential goal of Lean thinking.

But how do you generate value? It starts with understanding your customer and what they define as valuable. The “customer” could be anyone you are providing information, services, or products to. Once you understand the specific value they seek, you can work toward delivering it in the most efficient way possible.

Learn more about how Lean principles can help you generate value and reduce waste!
