Lean Construction Scheduling; Takt Planning
Colorado Community of Practice
Learn more
From Jason Schroeder: “I once heard, “Should I use LPS® or Takt?” This is a fair question and totally expected, but it is like asking, “What do you want to keep in your body? Your respiratory system or your circulatory system?” Well, actually, I need both.  We have Last Planner System ®, then we were given Scrum, and now we have Takt.  It takes all three to run a great project schedule.  Come join us for this LCI Colorado CoP event showing you the best about Lean construction scheduling.  This is Last Planner System® 2.0, this is the answer, this is our ticket.  It’s time for remarkable systems to support our already remarkable people.”

Lean In Action: Lean into the Resistance (Congress Preview)
New England Community of Practice
Learn more
Over the last decade our lean advisor’s group has experimented with a variety of approaches in an effort to integrate lean practices into our design firm. Our initiatives have been marginally successful and difficult to sustain. Why the lack of real progress?  What we hear from staff are excuses such as, I’m too busy, or alienation because of the unfamiliar terminology, or a belief that lean is intended for manufacturing rather than creative work like architecture and design.  Despite the resistance, we have made some progress, although it has been slow and inconsistent.  The results of our most recent effort, “Lean in Action” has surprised us all. Participation has substantially increased, real progress is being made, and we are excited...
