Steve Hawthorne, Director of Operations, Mace Construction
Steve began his construction career as a carpenter in London 42 years ago, quickly advancing to site agent. His first project achieved a 28% profit margin, and he later earned an MCIOB silver medal for Construction Manager of the Year. A pioneer in 4D modeling, Steve now leads a £180m Fleet Street development as Project Director at Mace, managing 50 staff and 600 operatives. Passionate about technology, he champions AI, prefabrication, and productivity-driven construction innovations.
