Abstract:

Research Question: How can team dynamics and collaboration styles inform team formation and potential for project success?

Purpose: The research investigated whether team member personality traits have a measurable and actionable effect on project success.

Research Method: Researchers collected industry data and ran significance testing and linear modeling to determine predictive variables related to personality traits.

Findings: Team formation and project financial success can be informed by personality traits and communication styles through quantified personality factors.

Limitations: Further research is needed to extend the findings to other company cultures and team dynamic assessment tools. The findings may be more specific to the company processes in the study rather than across the industry.

Implications: The influence of team dynamics on financial success suggests a predictive model may inform team formation, but the predictors must be further refined to provide a more thorough framework for decisions.

Value for practitioners: Understanding team dynamics and collaboration and communications styles can influence project financial success.
