Abstract:

Question: What motivates individuals with different project roles to work with lean?

Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to understand the barriers and challenges that occur when implementing lean construction despite acknowledgement that lean works.

Research Method: Discussion based on literature studies, a case and survey results from more than 160 recipients related to the case study.

Findings: this paper conclude that different roles at projects are incentivized by different measures.

Limitations: the results are deduced from surveys and a case example and not yet tested in other settings.

Implications: If incentive measures are not targeted the right audience, they might have a counterproductive effect.

Value for authors: this paper will help you get your message across and get your paper accepted for publication more quickly.
